The children in the 4s (Reception) follow the Foundation Stage curriculum, with the benefits of going beyond this to include individual reading to their teacher or teaching assistant. Every week in the summer term the children will swim and use the ICT suite, along with the use of the extensive grounds in the Prep School. Children in the 5s and 6s (Year 1 and 2) cover all areas of the national curriculum, including the use of the swimming pool and ICT suite on a weekly basis. Numeracy and literacy are taught daily. Phonics is taught through the Jolly Phonics scheme and Maths through Abacus. The history and geography curriculum is covered during the cross-curricular topic lesson. |
