| A typical day for a Pre-Prep pupil |
The day starts with Breakfast Club with children being dropped off from 7:30am. The Pre-Prep doors open at 8.30 and the children are taken to their classroom where they meet their teachers and socialise with their peers until their day begins. During the morning the children will participate in some numeracy and literacy activities and will read to a teacher or teaching assistant. The morning may also include games or a visit to the ICT suite. Assembly time precedes playtime where the children learn to develop their social skills in the freedom of our wonderful Pre-Prep garden. Lunch is cooked on the premises and eaten in the classroom with the teacher, where healthy eating and good manners are promoted. The afternoon may involve swimming, art, science or P.E. before they go home at 3.30pm or join their friends in Cabin Club. At home the children will want to read to their parents and maybe learn their spellings or tables, depending upon the age of the child. 3.30pm is home time, unless the children stay to our after school club, ‘Cabin Club’, from where they are picked up by 6.30pm. |
