ScholarshipsUp to six scholarships are offered each year for children with a special ability or promise in any field, who are completing the top two years with us. Such fields might be, for instance, Academics, Sport, Art, Music or Choral work. Candidates must be eligible for 11+ entry in the September following the examinations. The preliminary interviews for candidates take place early in February each year and short-listed candidates are called for final tests and interview approximately three weeks later. Provided that the Joint Heads are satisfied with the child's achievement and conduct, the scholarship is tenable for the final two years of the pupil's career at Swanbourne House. These scholarships are ideal for children who would wish to prepare for 13+ entry to Public School. Please note that these awards are not intended for pupils already attending the senior department of other IAPS schools, and candidates from such schools will only be accepted with their present school's approval. Parents who are thinking of entering their child for the scholarship are warmly invited to telephone the School Office for an appointment to view the School prior to the preliminary tests. BursariesBursaries are available for Forces families. Bedford School Access AwardsParents whose children are new pupils and who enter Swanbourne House by the Scholarship route at the age of eleven years, may be eligible for financial assistance with schooling up to eighteen years, through the Bedford School (for boys) Access Award. Please let us know your interest in Bedford School, at the time of your application to us and we will ensure that further details are sent to you. |
