A typical day for a Nursery pupil PDF Print E-mail

The day starts with Breakfast Club with children being dropped off from 7:30am.

The main doors open for children to arrive from 8.30am so the day can start at 9am.

The pick-up times are flexible; 12.15pm, 3.30pm, or any time between 3.30pm and 6.30pm for your convenience.

The children thrive and learn through play. Their day starts in their room with their teacher and assistant; every day they have carpet time and look at their number, letter or shape of the week. This is followed by child initiated and teacher directed activities, both inside and outside the classroom.

Snack time and playtime are also a fun and learning experience. Those children who stay for lunch enjoy the wholesome food which is cooked on the premises in the homely atmosphere of the classroom alongside the teaching staff.

Those children who stay for the afternoon enjoy a ‘quiet time’ before their activities begin. They could be visiting the interactive whiteboard, having a hunt in the woods or developing their ICT skills alongside their free play.

3.30pm is home time, unless the children stay to our after school ‘Cabin Club’ from where they are picked up by 6.30pm.
