Pastoral Care PDF Print E-mail

Every pupil has a form tutor who is the first point of contact for the pupil and parents. To back this up we have a Deputy Pastoral who oversees all pastoral or discipline concerns. He is helped by a Year Tutor for the 8s and 9s pupils. All of the staff are inducted into our Child Protection policy and the family atmosphere in the school is based on the care shown to each child. In the Boarding House the Boarding Housemaster and Housemistress take care of the welfare of pupils. We also have qualified nurses running our surgery during most school hours.

Pastoral Care is monitored by form teachers, House staff and also at each staff meeting. We operate an appropriate counter bullying policy document. Parents are encouraged to speak to the School if their children are unhappy for any reason. Matters are dealt with by having the welfare of the whole community at heart.
