HM Queen Elizabeth II

We mourn the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-serving monarch whose reign was characterised by her loyal devotion to the service of the people of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth nations. The Queen’s unwavering faith, courage and sense of duty have defined this second Elizabethan age.

The Queen spoke to the Nation on her 21st birthday and declared: ‘that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service.’  The Queen has more than fulfilled her pledge and our nation’s loss is felt throughout the world.  As we look back over Her Majesty’s long life and reign, we remember her wisdom, compassion, humility, warmth, integrity and service.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family at this time of loss and mourning.
