A vibrant and inspiring Enrichment Programme at Swanbourne House Prep School has replaced academic lessons on Saturday mornings offering courses, workshops and innovative activities that open children’s minds to different skills and careers opportunities.
The Saturday Enrichment Programme was borne out of our firm belief in preparing our children for the future by providing a range of opportunities to gain new experiences, develop life skills and pursue interests. We endeavour to provide opportunities beyond the stretch of our academic and co-curricular faculties to engage, inspire and challenge our pupils.
The programme is optional for Year 5 and Year 6 and compulsory for Year 7 and Year 8.
Key to this successful Enrichment Programme is having a broad and inspiring range of options for the children to take part in. At Swanbourne this has included…
- Fashion & Design workshops
- Classes in the ancient art of Fencing
- Go Kart design and building
- Learning Ancient Greek.
- Being part of an Enterprise Club, learning all about modern business
- Talks from representatives from the Red Arrows and Tesla
- Clay Pigeon Shooting
- Bushcraft skills, including den building in the grounds
- Photography classes
