11s Tudor Workshop

On Thursday 4th December, the 11s took part in a Tudor History Workshop at Swanbourne House.

They all thoroughly enjoyed listening to Master Tom and his thrilling Tudor tales. Throughout the day the pupils learnt about the different aspects of Tudor England such as clothing, money, religion, dance and crime & punishment.

The 11s completed a number of different activities including battle re-enactments, Tudor True and False, the study of artefacts and creating freeze frames from the Elizabethan play Romeo and Juliet. The 11s were particularly interested by the Tudor clothing and weapons, and were enthusiastic in defending themselves in combat.

The topics discussed during the workshop advanced on the History Curriculum with an emphasis on Henry VII and Henry VIII.

Swanbourne House School is an independent co-ed day and boarding school near Aylesbury and Milton Keynes in the Buckinghamshire countryside. To find out more about admissions and to arrange a private tour, click here
