Changemaker Day at Stowe
Yesterday during Change Maker Day, our Year 6, 7, and 8 pupils had the fantastic opportunity to visit Stowe School, where they teamed up with students from both Stowe and Winchester House for an action-packed day of learning and discovery.
In Science, pupils explored a fascinating range of physics, biology, and chemistry experiments. One of the highlights was experimenting with freeze-dried food, using liquid nitrogen to observe its incredible effects. This hands-on approach gave pupils a real insight into scientific processes and left them buzzing with curiosity!
In English, students dived into a wide variety of topics. They worked on their debating and analytical skills, tackling thought-provoking issues in engaging group discussions. This fostered critical thinking and gave them a chance to express their ideas in new ways.
The Modern Foreign Languages session was a vibrant experience, where pupils explored French, Japanese, Spanish and other languages through interactive activities. From learning new phrases to understanding cultural nuances, it was a fun and dynamic way to build language skills and broaden horizons.
Throughout the day, our pupils worked collaboratively with peers from both Stowe and Winchester House, developing teamwork and communication skills that are essential for future changemakers.
A huge thank you to Stowe School for hosting this enriching and inspiring day!
