English Poetry Competition

Well done to Heze and Annabelle who won the recent English Poetry Competition here at Swanbourne House School.
The theme of the competition was ‘family’.
The pupils looked at several poetry styles that focused on how students could effectively use metaphors and extended metaphor descriptions. They then had to write the poem and perform it (after studying performances by Michael Rosen and John Agard).
