Korfball at Swanbourne house school

Korfball at SHS

Recently introduced this term, students have been taking part in Korfball lessons within PE. Korfball is a dynamic ball sport similar to basketball and netball. The overall objective of the game is to throw a ball into the opposition’s basket. Korfball is one of few sports in which girls and boys compete together side-by-side on a pitch. What makes Korfball truly unique is that it is a sport with absolute equality at its heart. There are no set positions in Korfball, all players must be prepared to take up any role.

Miss Cocker played England Korfball from the ages of 13 to 22. And previously coached county Korfball from U15 and upwards
