Meet Captain Heaven

Mr Heaven, our new teacher of Design, Engineering and Technology, is also a Captain in the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and will be working with Stowe CCF Monday afternoons and other occasions in the year, when they deploy on field exercise, adventure training and Summer Camp.

He is assigned to the senior cadets at Stowe, where the sessions are aimed at developing  skills and character traits such as leadership, teamwork, resilience and integrity – and helping develop young people for life beyond school and their future careers, whatever they may be. Captain Heaven is also looking forward to using his skills and experience to contribute to the Outdoor Learning Department at Swanbourne House, as well as the school’s Leadership Programme.

Captain Heaven has been involved with the Cadet organisation for almost 9 years and wanted to give back, following his highly enjoyable time as a cadet himself. He has previously worked with the CCF at Stonyhurst College, Lord Wandsworth College and the Air Training Corps. Stowe CCF are delighted to welcome him to the team.
