Prep and Primary Schools’ Philosophon at Stowe

Philosophon

Swanbourne House pupils had the exciting opportunity to participate in Stowe School’s first ever Philosophon yesterday. For their first time at the event, they performed exceptionally well, showcasing their ability to think critically and collaborate effectively.

The Philosophon brought together pupils from various schools, mixing them into teams to tackle thought-provoking topics. Teams were assessed not on their answers, but on how they approached and conducted their discussions, emphasizing skills like reasoning, teamwork, and communication.

It was a fantastic experience for everyone involved, and SHS pupils should be incredibly proud of their efforts. Well done to all who participated and a big thank you to Stowe School for hosting such a brilliant afternoon.

Swanbourne House is an independent Day and Boarding School for children aged 3 – 13 years. The school is based in 55 acres of Buckinghamshire countryside, a short drive from Central Milton Keynes and near Buckingham, Leighton Buzzard, Woburn, Aspley Guise and Aylesbury.
