Stowe Climate Action Day

Year 7 & 8 pupils, along with our Year 6 Climate Change ambassadors, spent an inspirational day today at Stowe for the Climate Action Conference.

The group were enthused by an amazing keynote speech by John Sauven, Executive Director of Greenpeace UK, and inspired by a talk from Jocelyn Longdon. Pupils also created a Patchwork Rainforest to save an acre of Brazilian rainforest and created their own waste free lunch with celebrity chef Max La Manna.

SHS’ Climate Change ambassadors then showcased the work they had done as part of the climate change action group and Mr Toyer and Mrs Caddick set all Winchester House and Swanbourne House students a creative digital challenge to transform current images into more sustainable environments.

Pupils came away enthused, inspired and ready to implement changes at Swanbourne House and in their own homes to take action against climate change.

Swanbourne House is an independent day and boarding school in Buckinghamshire, and is part of The Stowe Group. To find out more about admissions and to arrange a private tour, please click here.
