The Lower School (Pre-Reception to Year 4), is exceptionally nurturing and great fun. Children’s independence, confidence and love of the great outdoors continue to develop in a secure and safe, yet suitably varied and challenging, learning environment. Boys and girls form meaningful friendships and begin to discover and celebrate their own and each other’s talents and passions.

Each child benefits from our small class sizes and an excellent relationship with their Form Teacher. The Lower School staff work collaboratively under the leadership of our specialist Heads of EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Lower Key Stage 2. The Head of Lower School manages this section of the school and together, the staff ensure that the children transition smoothly between each year group.

Children in the Lower School are supported with a reward-based system designed to encourage good behaviour, all linked into the Swanbourne Way, which is discussed in Assemblies, Chapel, Form time and PSHE lessons throughout the school.
