Year 5 and Year 6 are taught by experienced subject specialists for all subjects, and are set according to their performance levels in core academic subjects.

Increased independence in learning, organisation and time management is a key focus in these formative middle years. The children will have frequent discussions with their teachers to help plan their next steps for progress. Personal Tutors oversee the children’s academic progress and welfare and they are the first point of contact for parents. It is also at this stage that we work with families to consider the increasingly early decisions required by senior school admissions processes, and start to identify high fliers aiming for scholarships and awards at their next schools.
