In Year 7 and Year 8 the children continue to experience a rich and rigorous curriculum which is assessed by the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate (PSB), Academic Scholarships and, in some cases, further bespoke senior school examinations.

By now, pupils are confident learners and use their subject targets to discuss their progress with their Personal Tutors. Revision and study skills are taught and the children participate in a careers programme. During these final two years, the children learn the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between academic studies and participation in all other areas of school life. There are considerable co-curricular opportunities in these year groups and the children begin to master how to manage their time effectively. Pupils in the final two years at Swanbourne also undertake an extensive course of leadership training.
