Pre-Reception
Children can start their journey at Swanbourne at 3 years old, in our Pre-Reception class. It is situated in Manor House, where pupils will stay until the end of Year 2. It gives them an opportunity to join the Swanbourne community prior to joining the Reception class. Pupils are taught by a qualified EYFS Teacher and Teaching Assistant in a maximum class size of 16.
With modern facilities surrounded by a eucalyptus wood and farmland (lots of animals to see at break time!) it’s an extraordinary place for young learners to grow, play and start their educational journey with confidence and joy.
Children in the Manor House have a rich, hands-on curriculum designed to inspire a love of learning. They participate in Forest School in our beautiful Buckinghamshire woodland and Outdoor Classroom. They receive specialist teaching in Music and Sport, have access to the School’s varied and enriching activities programme and benefit from the many advantages of being part of The Stowe Group. Subject to our admissions process, children will also have spaces reserved in Swanbourne’s Reception class.
This class is open to children aged from 3 years old; we offer 15 hours of the universal funding entitlement (for afternoon sessions), which is available the term after a child’s 3rd birthday.
